Watertown walkout: Why students are walking
“Do not mistake our age for a weakness.”
The Watertown High School Walkout is planned for Wednesday, March 21 at 10 a.m. On March 24, Boston will host March for Our Lives, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Boston Common as part of a national movement in support of gun control.
It has been just over a month since 17 people were killed a high school in Florida.
This week Watertown High School students plan to walk out of class for a variety of different reasons relating to that massacre. Students who decide to walk will do so at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21.
Local students responded to the TAB’s request for comment on why they will walk via email.
